Steven started fencing at the Village Fencing Club (AZ) in 2003. He first joined Richmond Fencing Club in 2008. Steven began coaching at William & Mary in 2016, where he also served as Club President, Vice-President, and 2-time Captain. In three seasons competing for W&M, Steven led the team to three consecutive team titles at the Virginia Cup. He also earned two individual titles and one 2nd place finish. His best team performances included being the top club saber squad in MACFA and a 5th place men’s team finish at the club national championships.
Steven regularly referees at local, regional, and national tournaments. He enjoys teaching all levels of saber fencers in classes and private lessons.
